What is FamSync?

FamSync is a family organizer: one shared calendar with a color for every member, chores and grocery lists everyone can see, a meal planner, a live family map, and Foxy, your family's AI assistant. Reminders can ring a phone like a real call so they don't get missed.

Is FamSync free?

Yes, for up to four family members, with no ads. Premium covers eight people and adds Remind and Reminder Calls, unlimited Foxy, the Morning Digest, Apple and Google Calendar sync, calendar scanning, the Family Map with drive summaries, and the meal planner. It's $5.99 a month or $49.99 a year, each with a free trial.

How do I invite family members?

Your family code is on the Home tab. Send it, or show the QR code, and whoever enters it joins your family group with everything already shared.

Can I sync with Google Calendar or Apple Calendar?

Yes. Open the calendar hub from the Home tab or the Calendar tab and connect either one. Events sync in both directions. Each calendar has its own switch, and disconnecting removes what it brought in.

Who is Foxy?

Foxy is FamSync's built-in assistant. Type a request the way you'd say it and Foxy creates the event, sends the reminder, posts to the board, or plans dinner. Foxy always shows you what it prepared and waits for your approval before saving anything.

How does location sharing work?

Location sharing shows family members on the map, powers place alerts and drive summaries, and gives real drive times. It's optional, per person, can be turned off at any time from your profile, and is only visible inside your family group.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through Apple. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel FamSync there. You keep Premium until the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete my account?

Go to the Profile tab and choose Delete account, or email support@hotstreak.info and we'll remove your account and all associated data.

What devices are supported?

iPhone running iOS 17 or later.

Information We Collect

FamSync collects the following information to provide our service:

Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account or sign in with Google.
Family data: Calendar events, tasks, lists, and other content you create within the app. This data is shared with members of your family group.
Location data: If you enable location sharing, your device location is collected and shared with your family group members. You can disable this at any time.
Usage data: Basic analytics about app usage to help us improve the experience.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the FamSync service
To sync your family's calendars, lists, and plans in real time
To power AI features through our AI provider (conversation data is processed but not stored by the AI provider)
To send you relevant notifications about family events and updates
To improve the app experience based on aggregate usage patterns

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud) with encryption in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Family data is only accessible to members of your family group.

Firebase: Authentication, database, and cloud services (Google)
Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method
Mistral AI: Powers the Foxy AI assistant (conversation context is sent for processing)
Apple MapKit: Location search and driving directions

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@hotstreak.info. You can also export your data or modify your information within the app's Profile settings.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using FamSync, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Use of Service

FamSync is designed for personal, non-commercial use to help families coordinate their schedules and activities. You agree to:

Provide accurate information when creating your account
Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
Not attempt to access other users' data outside of your family group
Be responsible for maintaining the security of your account

Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

AI Features

The Foxy AI assistant provides suggestions based on your family's data. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice. We are not responsible for actions taken based on AI suggestions.

Content & Data

You retain ownership of all content you create in FamSync. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content to provide the service to you and your family group members.

Limitation of Liability

FamSync is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any missed events, scheduling conflicts, or other issues arising from use of the app.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
