What is FamSync?

FamSync is a family coordination app that brings your calendars, to-do lists, grocery lists, meal plans, and more into one shared space. It includes an AI assistant called Foxy that can help plan your day, suggest meals, and keep everyone on track.

Is FamSync free to use?

FamSync is free to download with core features at no cost. Some premium features like advanced AI suggestions, meal planning, and expanded family member slots are available through an optional subscription.

How do I invite family members?

Go to the Profile tab and tap "Invite Members." You'll get a unique family code that your family members can use to join your family group when they sign up or from their own Profile tab.

Can I sync with Google Calendar or Apple Calendar?

Yes! FamSync supports syncing with both Google Calendar and Apple Calendar. Go to Profile > Connected Calendars to set up the integration. Events will sync automatically in both directions.

Who is Foxy?

Foxy is FamSync's built-in AI assistant. You can chat with Foxy to create events, add items to your grocery list, get dinner suggestions, find nearby activities, and more. Foxy knows your family's schedule and preferences to give personalized suggestions.

How does location sharing work?

FamSync uses location sharing to show family members on a map and calculate real drive times. Location sharing is completely optional and can be toggled on or off at any time from your Profile settings. Location data is only shared within your family group.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings. Go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone. You'll keep access to premium features until the end of your billing period.

What devices are supported?

FamSync is currently available for iPhone running iOS 16 or later. We're working on expanding to iPad and additional platforms in the future.

Information We Collect

FamSync collects the following information to provide our service:

Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account or sign in with Google.
Family data: Calendar events, tasks, lists, and other content you create within the app. This data is shared with members of your family group.
Location data: If you enable location sharing, your device location is collected and shared with your family group members. You can disable this at any time.
Usage data: Basic analytics about app usage to help us improve the experience.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the FamSync service
To sync your family's calendars, lists, and plans in real time
To power AI features through our AI provider (conversation data is processed but not stored by the AI provider)
To send you relevant notifications about family events and updates
To improve the app experience based on aggregate usage patterns

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud) with encryption in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Family data is only accessible to members of your family group.

Third-Party Services

Firebase: Authentication, database, and cloud services (Google)
Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method
Mistral AI: Powers the Foxy AI assistant (conversation context is sent for processing)
Apple MapKit: Location search and driving directions

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@hotstreak.info. You can also export your data or modify your information within the app's Profile settings.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using FamSync, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Use of Service

FamSync is designed for personal, non-commercial use to help families coordinate their schedules and activities. You agree to:

Provide accurate information when creating your account
Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
Not attempt to access other users' data outside of your family group
Be responsible for maintaining the security of your account

Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

AI Features

The Foxy AI assistant provides suggestions based on your family's data. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice. We are not responsible for actions taken based on AI suggestions.

Content & Data

You retain ownership of all content you create in FamSync. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content to provide the service to you and your family group members.

Limitation of Liability

FamSync is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any missed events, scheduling conflicts, or other issues arising from use of the app.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
